Introduction

Kurdila (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a café in Baxtiari, Slemani, Kurdistan. This page explains how information is handled when you use kurdila.com.

The site is a public menu and house page. You can read it without creating an account. We do not run a loyalty club, a customer login, or an online shop on this website.

What we do not collect

There is no Kurdila Club or loyalty programme on kurdila.com. We do not ask you to register a name or phone number on the site. We do not use advertising cookies. We do not use analytics cookies. We do not read your device location.

Prayer times

Prayer times on the Find Us section are for Slemani. They are fetched from the Aladhan API using the café’s coordinates in Sulaymaniyah, not your location. We do not request GPS permission and we do not store where you are.

Map

The map shows Kurdila at Baxtiari, Sulaymaniyah. It is drawn with Leaflet and map tiles from OpenStreetMap. Opening that section loads map images from OpenStreetMap’s servers.

WhatsApp

Buttons such as book the private room, reserve a table, catering, PS5, or careers open WhatsApp with a short message template. If you send that message, it goes to our café WhatsApp. What you write there (for example your name, phone, date, and number of guests) is handled in WhatsApp, not stored in a database on kurdila.com.

WhatsApp is provided by Meta. Their rules apply to that conversation. We use those messages only to reply: a booking, a catering request, or a job application.

Hosting

kurdila.com is hosted by Vercel. Like most hosts, Vercel may process technical logs (such as IP address, browser, and pages requested) in order to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not use those logs to build a marketing profile of you.

How we use information

Cookies and similar technologies

We do not set advertising cookies. We do not run a cookie-consent banner, because we do not use optional analytics cookies.

What we do use is local storage in your browser, as described above, and a service worker that can cache Kurdila pages. Third-party tools (fonts, the map, prayer times) may set their own cookies or logs when their files load. You can block or clear these in your browser.

Data security

The website is served over HTTPS. No method of sending information over the internet is perfectly secure. We keep only what the site needs to run, as set out here.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold, to ask for correction or deletion, or to object to how it is used. On this website we do not keep customer accounts. If you wrote to us on WhatsApp, you can ask us in that chat, or visit the café, to delete or correct what you sent.

You can clear language, prayer-time cache, and stored pages in your browser at any time.

Children

This website is a café menu for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through kurdila.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
